Enrique Mariano Barba and the studies on land ownership (1972-2009)

Abstract

This article aims to discuss the research agenda on land occupation of Buenos Aires and public policies for land distribution, began in the 1970s by Enrique Mariano Barba at the National University of La Plata. As part of a renewed historiography in the use of sources, space-time perspectives and multiple interdisciplinary lending, we are interested in analyze these pioneering studies on the approach and sources, highlighting the continuity and enrichment in the methodologies of work to the present.
