Inmigrantes españoles en la Provincia del Paraguay. 1776-1811

Abstract

This paper refer to the characteristics of Spanish immigrants in the province of Paraguay, between 1776 and 1811. The motivation for pursuing this issue has been the desire to confirm the leading role in political and socio-economic level that they had on the society of the time, emphasized in traditional history books. The sources that have been consulted are the wills of immigrants found in the National Archives of Asuncion [ANA], as these contain data such as the source of the estate, offices, partial or total amount of goods, among other interesting data
