Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present one of the most successful merchants of the mid-eighteenth century in the Rio de la Plata region and an approach to the whole of which it emerges. The group image is obtained from the records of Spanish ships which allow a detailed study of the participation of individuals in shipments to Spain. At the same time, and to get closer to one of the particular individuals and their first circle of his relations are used in addition to the records, the available literature and the usual battery of sources used in research on traders
