Abstract

During the colonial era, the big traders in Peru behaved as a very dynamic Group that developed significant businesses in the area of marketing and devoted also to lend to the government in power. This work aims to identify the conflicts that arose in the War of Independence and how the commercial elite was transformed with the arrival of foreing traders, who settled in Lima to see this interesting place for the expansion of its activities. We will also see some case studies, especially foreign merchants who allow us to analyze the business dynamics of the same
