Abstract
Carlos Mayo initiative has been instrumental in exploring the often complex world of retail business through the study of the pulperías in Buenos Aires with novel sources. However, there is little reference to other actors within the retail business in the nineteenth century embody multiple expressions displacing end pulperías in outlying areas of the city and end well with the dominance they had had since the founding of the city
